FAQ of plastic machining part
Why are plastic parts prone to warping and deformation?
How to solve flow marks and burrs on plastic parts?
Flow marks are mostly due to improper injection speed and temperature, while burrs usually result from excessive mold clearance or high injection pressure. They can be fixed by adjusting parameters and repairing the mold.
What to do if plastic parts lack strength and break easily?
You can use materials with better toughness, or optimize the product structure by adding ribs to reduce stress concentration.
How to improve poor heat resistance of plastic parts that soften at high temperatures?
High-temperature resistant modified plastics can be used, such as glass fiber reinforced materials and heat-resistant engineering plastics, to meet higher temperature requirements.
Can plastic be combined with metal?
Yes, common methods include insert molding, overmolding, snap-fit assembly and adhesive bonding, combining the lightweight advantage of plastic with the high strength of metal.
