C26000 Cartridge Brass
A 70/30 copper-zinc brass with excellent cold-forming response, good corrosion resistance and a clean decorative appearance.

C36000 Free-Cutting Brass
A leaded brass engineered for fast, stable machining with short chips, accurate threads and consistent turned surfaces.

- Excellent machinability supports efficient repeat production

C36000 contains lead. Confirm regulatory requirements before specifying it for potable-water or lead-restricted applications.

C37700 Forging Brass
A leaded forging brass with excellent hot forgeability and strong follow-up machinability for near-net-shape parts.

Does brass turn green?
Brass can develop green or brown surface products when copper reacts with moisture, salts or chemicals. Polishing, clear coating or plating can control its appearance.
Is brass magnetic?
Most common copper-zinc brass alloys are non-magnetic. Confirm the exact grade for magnetic-sensitive equipment because composition, cold work and contamination can affect measured response.
Can brass be used for potable-water parts?
Use a brass grade and finish that meet the applicable potable-water and lead-content requirements for the target market. Provide the required compliance standard during quotation.
How can dezincification be reduced?
Select a dezincification-resistant or suitable lead-free grade and confirm the fluid chemistry, temperature and service conditions before production.
